Original Project Scope
Maranatha Ministries Foundation was formed in the early 1990's to support an old persons living complex. This complex was sold in 2006 and now Maranatha's work is being focused in outreach and mission. Their current rented accommodation is proving inadequate and they need a new facility. Maranatha need a conference centre for 500, classrooms (for 60 students), Bible school, administration facilities, staff quarters (for 20 people) and a chapel can all exist together. Having all these facilities together will make this work efficient and focussed.
The site is just outside the city of Patna and 2.3 acres have already been purchased. With an additional 2.7 acres in the process of being purchased, this will make a total site area of 5 acres. The site will prove its own unique challenges to the designers. With local flooding a problem it will be necessary to come up with a design which provides an elevated first floor some 5feet above surrounding ground level.
Completion of this project will allow training of, and direct outreach to, Gods people in the whole region of Bihar and beyond, in the whole of northern India.
Costs
ŁUK 1200 - 1400 (depends on final airfare obtained) with commencement of the trip at London's Heathrow Airport.
